The new 72-page Travel Guide with maps published by the Allegheny National Forest Visitor’s Bureau is now available.

The guide includes waterway, attractions, driving tour, snowmobile, and shopping trail maps along with information helpful in planning a trip to the Allegheny National Forest Region in northwestern Pennsylvania.

A photo of the Kinzua Sky Walk, the number one attraction in McKean County, is featured on the cover. The history of this amazing structure, with both historic and current, full-color photographs covers six pages.

Trail information is detailed with a list of trails both in the Allegheny National Forest and in the surrounding areas. In all, 24 trails are detailed with a photograph of the trail, the location of the trailhead, description of the trail surface, trail highlights, and a difficulty rating. This includes the first section of the newly opened Knox & Kane Rail Trail between Mount Jewett and the Kinzua Bridge State Park.

A variety of museums and family-friendly activities are highlighted along with a full list of accommodations with pricing to fit all budgets. Historic areas such as the Smethport Mansion District and the Bradford National Historic District are included in the guide book.

The directory includes a detailed list of attractions, lodging, restaurants, and fun things to see and do in the area.
